E-learning compared with classroom training

"People Like Us" is an interactive e-learning course that all employees should take. Compared with classroom training it is:

• more economic

• less disruptive of work patterns and more convenient

• more easily extended to the whole workforce over a short period

• does not require an expensive classroom environment

• less threatening than a group environment to anyone affected by stress issues

• more effective because individuals work at their own pace and can repeat and review any part of the course at any time

• suitable as a basic element of new employee induction, and

• it provides a permanent record of who has had the training (and who has not).

The course takes about an hour and a half in total, but it is recommended that students take just one module at a time – say 20 minutes per session.
